Child soldiers and other war-affected children : Possibilities and challenges to their reintegration process (14-15 mars 2012)

mardi 7 février 2012

Conférence organisée à Stavanger (Norvège) par the Centre for Intercultural Communication (Norvège), l’Université Evangélique en Afrique et le Département de sociologie de l’Université Officielle de Bukavu (RDC)

Date limite d’appel à communication : 5 février 2012

Extrait de la présentation en ligne :

"The theme of the conference will particularly focus on the
reintegration of former girl soldiers, as these girls very often are ignored and not considered as legitimate to support as boy soldiers when demobilization and reintegration processes are implemented.
There will, moreover, be a particular focus on the context of Eastern Congo, but the conference will also present experiences and research findings from other contexts. The perspectives on rehabilitation and reintegration of former child soldiers and other children affected by war presented and discussed during the conference will also be of great value to practitioners working with integration of refugee
children and youth in Norway."
