Extrait de la présentation en ligne :
"The workshop will aim to bring together scholars with a strong
interest in migration and climate change in mountain areas, covering the world’s major mountain ranges, including (but not necessarily limited) the Himalaya, the Andes and the Alps.
Our intention is to take stock of the existing knowledge, focusing on findings from empirical studies, and to develop a mountain-specific research agenda to understand the likely relationship between migration and climate change in affected regions over the next 2-3 decades. The priority should be to better identify the role of environmental factors in past, current, and future migrations in mountain areas. In addition, considering that mountain areas are characterised by long-term
migratory processes raises a specific set of questions."
