ABSTRACT : "Talk based on [the] PVP (Portal of Portuguese Varieties) project. This project, which has been running for more than four years and has included three workshops and a few publications, focuses on varieties of Portuguese and Portuguese-based creoles around the world. The data are collected synchronically, but the project addresses long-term histories of language contact, power relations between languages (standardised, officialised, etc.), and their impact on education."
