Date limite de candidature : 5 mars 2012

Extrait de la présentation en ligne :

"The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation along with the Institute of International Education awards a two-year dissertation fellowship in Population, Reproductive Health, and Economic Development. These fellowships support dissertation research on topics that examine how population dynamics, family planning and reproductive health influence economic development, including economic growth, poverty reduction, and equity. This year, priority will be given to dissertations that focus on :

  1. The impact of reproductive health on women’s economic empowerment, particularly as measured by economic outcomes at the household and individual levels.
  2. Relationships between reproductive health/family planning (including population policies and dynamics) and macroeconomic outcomes in countries.

The research must include a strong quantitative component with an emphasis on rigorous data analysis, and we encourage the development or use of new statistical approaches. Students in economics, economic demography, geography, and epidemiology are especially encouraged to apply.

The fellowship is open to students currently enrolled in Ph.D. programs in sub-Saharan Africa, the United States, and Canada."
